Subject: Reading Request Redux

I almost forgot an excellent series which I haven't seen mentioned yet, which
is the Heritage Trilogy by "Ian Douglas" (actually Wm. H. Keith writing under
a nom de plume). Great near future space combat, the vast majority of it takes
place under vacuum conditions throughout the solar system. All in all, a great
read, particularly for fans of the USMC (although I don't recommend it if
you'd mind seeing the Army take some knocks:).

I remember an SF book a few years ago with Marines on Mars; was this the
same series? (I recall a Luna-based book as well...)

That's the one. Third one takes place on Europa. All in all an enjoyable
series, with some basis in reality:), but also hints of an upcoming leap
forward in technology due to some interesting discoveries. I kinda wish he'd
write more, but I'm not going to hold my breath:)
