I was at salute, and for the first time I took my eldest daughter (Briony aged
9).
She managed to keep up her 100% record at age of sail naval by beating off a
pirate raid on a convoy she was escorting in one of the participation games
and bought her first metal figures (25mm WW1 British Lancers in 1914
uniforms).
I bought the Hammer's Slammers technical handbook/rule that David Drake
was there to promote and picked up my free "Hammer's Slammers senior officer"
figure from Jon as well as some 25mm Modern US rangers which I will be using
as a stargrunt force.
Now that brings me to something the list could help with we have two
questions:
Me:
Anyone know of a source of 25mm Modern (c2000) Australian infantry?
Briony:
Anyone know of a source of 20mm WW1 Australian Light Horse?
So in a desperate and contrived attempt to bring this back on topic in
someway.
Given that the NSL Jagers and IIRC Colonial Militia both have mounted figures
how would you handle these in Stargrunt? I'm assuming that they would be
acting as mounted infantry.

Is there also a source of true 25mm modern French anywhere?

I have rules for mounted troops in SG2 in my _Hardtack Plug-in_ rules.
These are rules for the American Civil War, but the section on mounted troops
can be used in any era.
The link is:

Horses and bayonets are, as near as I can tell, the only pieces of military
hardware that really don't change except cosmetically.:)
G'day,

Someone else has already posted the link to Mike's stuff, best (and
only) ones I can think of - Mike's stuff is top notch, though more on
the 28 than the 25mm size of things usually (I'm guessing it's the same for
these troops).

Movement 10" (maybe even 12" as over short bursts horses can match vehicles)
When handing out wounded count horses separately to their riders. I'd up their
"break in position" without spending an action harder,
maybe TL+4 or just say you can't do it at all (i.e. must spend an
action).
Other than that the rest should probably follow infantry as written (at least
off the top of my head).
Cheers
