Subject: Question on Salvo Missiles

Standard Missiles have a max Range of 24" and a 360 homing within 6" on enemy
targets, with the closest enemy taking the hit.

The ER Missiles have a max Range of 36" and a 360 homing within 6" on enemy
targets, with the closest enemy taking the hit.

I just want to make sure we are using them correctly, we have a new player who
want to take the FSE ships out and we don't normal play heavy missile
batteries so I thought I ask.

Yes.

(OK, the "max range" in this case is the max range at which you can place the
missile marker when you launch it; it then can go another 6 mu from there to
reach the nearest enemy ship. The reason I point this out is that I've met at
least one player who incorrectly thought that the missiles' *absolute* max
range, as measured from the point of launch to the final target location, was
24 and 36 mu respectively.)
