Hey Mike.
Is there any way that I could get your rules and changes for your Pod racing?
You can privately send it to my address if you want. I was out shoping for
stuff to make terrain (astroids) and stumbled upon clearance Pod Racers. I
just *had* to buy them. I am probably going to run a pod racing game at
conventions that are coming up around the Indy area.
Thanks

Yes, the easiest way is to go to my GZG scenario discussion group at
<http://www.egroups.com/group/gzg/info.html> and enter the "vault." You
can find all the rules and the pod racing control sheets in a file cleverly
marked "Pod Racing." <g> To access the "vault," you'll need to take about 30
seconds to subscribe to the group, but you can unsubscribe right away, or even
better, just
elect not to recieve e-mails from the group. That way, you can still
access the "vault" any time you like and you can even read the average 3 posts
per month via the web. Based on our conversation in House of Pizza, I'm going
to keep the rules intact. You'll have to come up with a "death penalty"
suitable for whatever track you design. My current default is: One gate behind
the last place pod with a number of hull boxes equal to the number of gates
that you were set back. No new junk, and no free repairs. But, I can't imagine
this would be suitable for all tracks, so adjust to whatever tortures you're
throwing at them. <g>

The same thing happened to me. Now, I've been buying pod racing stuff since I
saw the film during the summer and realized that I could adapt FT rules to
simulate the race. So I paid full price for all of the pod racing packs at
full price, just to have all of them. Then, January, I found them all for $2
per pack in the back of Blockbuster! Well, I had to buy a second round of the
same packs.

Let me know how if goes, please.

In regards to the pod racing, just in case some of you haven't seen it,
MicroMachines put out a couple of assemble your own packs of pod racers.
Supposedly, they gave you enough bits and pieces to build 2 or 3 pods. I've
seen this at Wal-Mart and K-Mart, so it probably is available elsewhere.
And the price breakdown at the time that I saw this made it cheaper to buy
than the pre-assembled pods.

Mike,
I'm still refusing to sign up. Is your support of the site so great that you
don't want anyone to pass on the information? If so, Bren, don't bother
passing that on to me.

That's just great. Why don't you tell us all the other things that you're not
going to do today?
> Is your support of the site so great that
I want everyone who wants the info to go to the site and get it. If you're not
willing to subscribe to the discussion list, that's really your problem, I
don't see why you feel compelled to tell me about it. E-Groups charges
me nothing for 20mb of storage space per group, so I've decided to use it.

Actually, I'll amend my previous statement, I want everyone, except anyone
who has ever used the e-mail address "devans@uneb.edu" to go to the site
and
get it. Anyone who has ever used the e-mail address "devans@uneb.edu"
does not have the rights to recieve, copy, or otherwise transmit anything I've
ever written in regards to pod racing. As a matter of fact, just to avoid any
grey
areas, my dissertation on "pea pods" is also off-limits.

Ummm, can we nip this in the bud before it blossoms into a full-fledged
flamefest??
Mk
Hillarious stuff! I guess Devans woke up on the wrong side of the bed?
