On this subject, I'll send the photos off to Paul Owen as soon as they're
done so that he can put them on the catalogue site - but as he probably
won't be able to get this done till Monday at the earliest, would anyone else
like to post them earlier so that everyone can see them over the
weekend? Replies OFF-LIST please if you have a suitable site and would
be
prepared to do this for the rest of the list - just in case I get
deluged with offers, if you don't get a reply then it probably means I've
already found someone!
Further to last mail, Andy Cowell was first to kindly volunteer, and I've just
had the camera out and snapped the ships, so I've just sent him the pix.
Hopefully we'll get a URL posted as soon as he's had the chance to do it.....
over to you Andy!

Yes, there's definitely a Gundam influence in the styling of the Japanese
DD; the Jap fleet are all going to be heavily anime-inspired, for
obvious reasons!!

You don't *sound* very sorry.

Wow, it looks very similar to a Salmis Cruiser. I like it.

Well, anime ships have a fair range of styles - technoform box, 'ninja
rocketship' and various assorted strange organic shapes - and then they
get very weird - so thats at least 4 different fleets :-)
I have just uploaded these to a temp directory on the server till I get them
added to the catalogue, but as you seem keen to view them they are at
www.gtns.net/gzg/images/temp
names are pretty descriptive, don't know what they look like yet as I have'nt
had a look myself yet.....
Now thats service ;-)

I was hoping for lump-tech for Japan.
Something like Zentrani Cruisers
(http://www.ftsr.org/ft/ft2/robotech2.html)
or Mon Calimari Battlecruisers (http://web.qx.net/red6/ships/space.htm
2nd picture).

Well, they could be used for another faction, even another race -
probably a good project for Dave Garnham (who did the Sa'Vas'Ku & Phalons).
