Perhaps you haven't been reading all the posts? I seem to recall a comment

If something on the list annoys me, I generally wait 24hrs before responding.
If you make a habit of that, you'll find it's amazing how much the messages
change from your first reading.

That's a good idea I wish I'd had, and that I'll keep in mind for the
future...it should be a general rule of netequiette.

"24 hrs. Inbox to Out" - reminds me of the pilot's '24 hrs bottle to
throttle' maxim on alcohol before flying...
