Yes - I hadn't made that connection - but its probably the same thing
The Metal Storm is a one shot weapon like the scatter pack.

The only system like it in DS2 is the SLAM but thats missiles not slugs.

Tim

Thanks for the response. I just wanted to boot this message to you because
I've only been on the mail list since yesterday, but you've made me feel
welcomed. I'm active Army here in the US myself and dealt quite a bit with
Artillery, Armor, and Infantry around the world (having recently come back
from Bosnia where I had the opportunity to work with other foreign contingents
in Sarajevo). I had thought about the messages that I had read and wanted to
give a little of my input, and what pleased to see it welcomed.

Now imagine if that gun kept ammo on a belt-feed mechanism! ::putting
pencil to paper:: Thanks again for making a yank feel welcome. If you have any
questions, don't hesitate to ask.

I don't think it can be. Part of the methodology for the gun firing at such a
high rate is that it actually loads multiple rounds into the mechanism at
once, which I would uess would be very tricky with a belt feed. Even if doable
I suspect it would be hard to maintain.

Actually, anyone who is seriously interested in this, the comp[any that makes
it has a web site. Dunno the address but you can get to it via the
report on the Tomorrow's World web site whihc is at www.bbc.co.uk/tw
