Subject: Paper Vehicle

Hello everyone Yes I know probably thought I was dead:)

Ok haven't posted in a while and I've been away from the wargaming scene for a
bit. So what do I want, well I'm trying to drum up enthusiasm for making more

paper models. So I thought if I asked this list for suggestions I'd get it in
the public eye and have more incentive to produce something! (look I
understand my logic even if you don't:)

So I wanted to make some Sci-Fi 15mm vehicles next. So anyone want to
give me ideas of what they would like to see? It would be great if you could
also suggest: Type (e.g. grav, tracked
etc),
Size (never made anything in this scale) and Colour scheme.

I look forward to your suggestions.

Thanks

creating a selection of vehicle upperworks and then use
the same model on the different undercarriages - grav, tracked, wheeled,
and you could use the same selection of chassis to feature one of a series of
turrets for MBT, Jagdpanzer, fire support, missile carrier, mortar carrier,
IFV, CFV
- and a couple grav strike floaters, kind of like tactical aircraft but
never
meant to get more than 50 feet off the ground - lightly armored, high
speed, heavily armed but not turreted.

The thing is you could use the same artwork on multiple vehicles by making the
modular.

Apologies again but how does that curse go...............

May you live in interesting times!

Well I am and I promise as soon as life gets boring again I'll make some more
models.

Here's hoping the lemons turn to lemonade!

Scary, but I figure we probably DO understand...

I'm curious if the list folk would like boxes similar to some of your
buildings: lids to lift off and see interiors. Large enough, and I could
use 'em as small ships for boarding party-style actions. ;->=

However, I wondered if folks wanted to have figs inside for figuring, say,
firing from APC's.

Are we asking too much from paper? ;->=

Seriously, the modular approach has much merit going for it; plenty of stuff
from old Gren to some of our own Saintly One's works like this. You do have to
take a bit of care not to let the look of the pieces get TOO much the same
and, what was the word you used to describe your
time-to-create?, oh, that's right, boring.

As an aside, Germ, why don't you have your eBay id on the site? I'm curious
about some of the items you're putting up.

I don't think so, since most of the assembling of upper works and suspension
systems would be done by the artist, not the model maker. One would just

select this particular MBT on tracks, or on wheels, or on grav lift and then
assemble that particular model.

There's a real shortage of 15mm SF utility vehicles - trucks, jeeps,
Hummer-equivilents, that sort of thing.

I know they aren't as cool as armoured fighting vehicles, but utility vehicles
can be great scenario fodder and double as scenery when not in use.

So, maybe a grav/hover truck with multiple possible loads on the back -
flatbed, cube van, artillery missle racks, etc? Or a 4-6 passenger
'Hummer' type, possibly with varients?
