Anyone have any experience with painting services? I just realized that I am
accumulating miniatures at a much faster rate than I paint them (you have to,
the nifty ones go away) and am considering buying a couple of platoons for SG
and have someone else paint them. I would need someone that can do camo.
TIA

The guy who runs it is George. He does pretty good work and is very reasonable
in prices. He's also Canadian so if you're in the states the exchange is good.
He's also a SG and FT player so he's very familiar with the stuff.
The only paint-for-hire I've done through the mail was through Bear
Johnson, and that was partially for trade. I think he does good work, but he
IS a big GW fan. He's closing his only fig trade shop, but I think he's still
painting.

Altogether an expensive prospect, I've been recently trying a new tactic: free
use of figs for as long as someone wants, but they have to return them to me
when they tire of the army. Given the way I've picked who forces pretty darn
cheap the way some folks cycle through them, I thought it'd be
a winner, but no joy. ;->=
On another note, there's a certain outrider in Denver I've been waiting over
to 8 yrs on his finishing a deal. Word to the wise: get references on time as
well as quality.

Never paint your last figure.

Nothing brainless about that -- except maybe for me not knowing that
this
would happen when I cut and pasted an address out of an HTML e-mail.
It's like magic....
BULLWINKLE: Hey, Rocky! Watch me pull a huge ugle chunk of HTML out of
this simple little e-mail address!
ROCKY: Awww, but that trick's really annoying, Bullwinkle! Can't you just
produce a huge squirrel-eating lion again?

Thanks John! Sorry for the brainless question.
Rocky and Bullwinkle should be mandatory viewing.

LOL! It's been a while since anyone paraphrased R&B (Rocky and
Bullwinkle, not Rhythm and Blues) to me! If I ever play in one of your
scenarios remind me to beware of a short fat little man in black traveling
with a tall thin woman!

Hey, give me some appropriate figures and I will do it in a second! I already
have a set of Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy figures that need to be painted
up for a couple of scenarios....
Even better, I need Sherman and Mr.Peabody figures!
