Friend of mine alerted me to this. Pretty spiffy. Unfortunately I want
a fully outfitted NAC Victoria-class BB. Guess I'll have to wait a
couple
more centuries before one shows up on e-bay, eh?

Hm, let's see... at the moment, there only seems to be: 1 auction for 2 S'V
strikeship packs
1 auction for 1 NAC Furious-class blister + 1 ESU Heavy Fighter blister
1 auction for 1 S'V Dreadnought + 1 S'V Drone Pod ship
1 auction for 1 K'V BDN + 1 K'V SDN
1 auction for 1 ESU Komarov, 1 FSE carrier (doesn't say which) and 1 NAC Ark
Royal...
...and, of course, there's a guy (eBay user name "solahma") who has
tried to sell a HUGE FT lot on eBay (Geo-Hex manufacture, judging from
the pictures; opening bid price is $125, but the entire lot is worth over
$200) several times. Well, either it is the same lot many times
(I've never seen anyone actually bidding at it) or many huge ones - the
first several had identical pictures, but now the
Have a look at it - it's at

There are 6 blisters of NAC ships, but the pictures are too small to let me
see whether or not there's a Victoria in there <g>
Later,
I have been watching this guy's auctions for a month or so. He had a couple of
different lots up but he is expecting to sell them too close to retail. His
high reserve prices have always KOed the sale. He would be better off breaking
things down into smaller chunks but hey, maybe he will answer my email and
sell the whole shebang to me for $75. Heh.

Now, I have bought from Mark, and some of the things he's got up make
sense. However, when you can find discounters at maybe 5-10% more
expensive and that for smaller lots, I found it a bit wierd.
However, I think he HAS sold one or two of the large lots, so it's not TOTALLY
crazy.
You can find most anything on eBay, but you can also almost always find
somebody crazy enough to pay your asking. Embarassingly, it might even be me.
Anyway, I was plenty satisfied with the painted Superior figs I got off him,
though I had to explain that they were again in
production. ;->=

Also, it looks like it has some of the same problems that the blisters in my
local store have. That is missing pieces. Example: 2nd picture bottom
blister is the FT713 Drone Carrier/Mothership (only Sa'Vasku with the
open-mouth piece). Note that the part with the bubble (KR calls the
bridge) is missing. I had this problem with the one I purchased locally (kudos
to KR who sent me the missing piece when I placed an order). At my local
store, I have noticed a lot of blisters that should have 2 ships in it only
having one and also a lot of missing pieces. These are all in the old
cardboard blisters. KR & co. have greatly increased quality control with the
new plastic blisters (as in the top picture).

Yes, with the previous molder we couldn't inspect the product completely,
especially the larger models, so mistakes got out. Now we mold and pack in
house, quality is up and mispacks are WAY down and are caught before the
product leaves the stock room.
