> Jeremy, thanks for such a cool site full of free
Thanks for that Eric, let me know how they work out. Pictures would be nice
:)
I find it amazing how little feedback I have received from people over these
models.
Oh I get lots of e-mails thanking me for making them free. But to date I
hve only seen one other picture where someone has made one of my models. Bit
strange when the average file request for each of the models is 252 per month.
The biggest hit to date was "Jon's Bar" which has been requested 2055 times
since I made it available in November last year.
Oh well I suppose no comment is better than lots of complaints.
On the 25mm building front, I have thought about charging for them but in the
end I thought sod it I'll make them free! So as soon as I can PDF them I'll
put them on the site and advertise the fact. I'll get pictures of them up at
the same time.
So watch this space.

Okay, Let me correct this. Your stuff is to be acknowledged as a strong
addition to war games resources. Even though I seldom buy 25 mm figures
anymore I want to let you know that I am amazed at the paper buildings you
provide (for free even!) for war gamers. I have downloaded most of
your 1/300th buildings paper models. The combination of not wanting to
print them with the old Citizen 120D printer I have at home, my never
having used paper terrain before - concerns about how to 'do' the models
adequately, and my general lack of time for hobby stuff the last few years has
kept me from using your excellent products.

My 35 mm camera hasn't produced any pictures worth showing anyone of any
of the game I have taken pictures of - operator error obviously. 8^(

Consider this slightly corrected.

That should also be acknowledged as a very kind service you return to the
hobby.

Even though I'm predominantly a 6 mm guy I know I'll be tempted to tie up more
storage with your 25 mm downloads (grin) because they are so much better than
anything I can produce.

Gracias,

Basically Glenn all I am after is to know if people are using them for gaming.
I don't mention what I've done to fish for praise, I do it simply to find out
if anyone is actually using the stuff I do. I enjoy making the stuff and some
of it has been
a good challenge, but if no-one uses it then I'll stop and spend more
time down the pub:)

Not only do I use the 6mm stuff, but I've also blown up some to twice size and
used them as buildings for Mechwarrior:Dark Age. Now, if I could just get
things like the moon base up to that size I'd be very happy..

Never thought that, pardon if it was inferred or implied.
I do it simply to

See my other post about why you might not have heard back. Not that it excuses
the lack of feedback.
I enjoy making the stuff

I am sure it is used but I am sure that feedback among war gamers when things
go right is a weakness we all need to be aware of...
LOL! How we suffer for our habits/hobbies... Lift one for me while you
are there - it's probably the closest I will ever get to the UK... Or
Australia... or Singapore (although work tried to send me to Malaysia once...
I persuaded them it was 'bad' idea.) I'll be lucky to get to Canada ever
again. Oh well, lots of CONUS to see still.

Gracias,
If you want to give them away thats fine but I think you should charge to down
load them even if it's just a $1. Have some free ones but charge to download
the others I've seen sites like that and I think it's fair enough. After all
once they have the template they can make as many as they want.
Seems very selfish to expect to get them for free and not even give
feedback/pictures. Any complaints just say you'll be happy to swap if
they've spent the time to design some of their own.

Very true, even limited budgets should be able to afford $1 (US) for a
structure.
As for how thoughtless (More than selfish I think and hope) we war gamers
are, well, John McEwan (Starguard rules/Reviresco Miniatures) gave away
beta sets of his 1/300th SF rules (I don't have any and can't remember
the name) for years but quit when he had not received * one * single feedback
about them. And in the 30 plus years ago when edition 1 came out it was a nice
regional phenomenon (and about the only set of SF rules on the Left Coast of
the USA at that time.)
But we never have had a reputation for social skills in abundance as a group.
Gracias, Glenn
