1. All beam batteries fire every n turns, where n is the class of the beam
weapon. 2. Pulse torps fire every third turn 3. Multiply total damage by the
class of the beam, or PTorps by 3. 4. Do not adjust damage capacity of ships,
armor or shields. 5. Thripple the reload time for fighters.
7. Respect cool-looking typos.
8. Missile ROFs do not change, although I still like my Individual Missile
Launcher (first posted under a different name some time ago) in place of SMLs
for this variant.

A. This adds more tactical considerations, such as "fire now at long range, or
risk losing weapons before closing next turn". B. Ships go boom.
C. High-thrust ships with class-1 beams become really vicious in vector
knife fights.

Think that's bad? Try watching the live feed with NO commentary, (hasn't been
added yet:o) and NO sound, (only certain matches had mikes after the prelims)
AND the only thing you have to go on is a couple of hand outs, a limited blurb
in your Team 2002 handbook. Yeesh, half the time we were screaming at the
video feed for someone to explain what was going on:o) The other half of the
time we were all to fascinated to talk.
(Ok, so spending 12 of the 17 days locked up with the walkie-talkies
wasn't exactly what I'd hoped to do.:o)

I must have bugged every vender and sales outlet we had here for a "Curling
for Dummies" book:o) On another note though, the Ogden Curling Club will be
offering an open curling night on the 5th of March... My wife doesn't know it
yet, but we have a date:o)

And you have to applaud the American skater for scrambling to a Silver. That's
quick thinking and [ObSG] a good example of a "motivated" troop.

Nope that was the other plantation owner. The one that beat his "workers" (ie:
slaves) and wanted them back. Charlton said they were guilty of murder and
went to hang them. "Cannon" stopped him and took them "into custody" for later
trial:o)

I would point out that this has already been brought up as a sport sortof.

1. The cut begining of Star Trek:Generations, Kirk was supposed to be
"skydiving" from orbit, prior to going out to the launching of the new
Enterprise.

2. In an episode of Voyger, B'lanna does a high dive in the holo-deck
and cuts the safety protocals to nil to encite a sense of "danger." She acted
like it was a pretty standard sport at the time.

I was referring to the Voyagers (or whichever series featured the plaques.)

It still represents a long term investment - not everyone on earth is
short term focussed. I could see some rich foundation seeding localspace with
beacons, just for the sheer hell of it - you're going to remember THEIR
name in a million years...
