I just got my copy home and watched it!

(I know my little TV screen doesn't compair to the big screens...but my stereo
more than makes up for this!)

Make sure you get the "Widescreen Video Collector's Edition".

Contents:
Starwars episode 1 (in wide screen -- excellent! excellent!)
The art of Star Wars Episode 1 (actually a 48 page excerpt of that
book -- still very nice)
and: An actual peice of the film! (about 5 frames)

Oh yes, the video starts out with a "making of" documentary. (About
45 minutes or so -- Very cool!)

Overall: Worth the cash!

Seems sales of this video (both versions) are proceeding rather slowly. Go get
your collectors edition today!

Got it, waiting to watch with my 'young Jedi'. Widescreen is the only way to
go.

Might be partly because of people like. I don't want the tape version, I want
a DVD version. Until Speilberg gets with it and releases his movies on DVD,
I'm not buying any.

Sorry, just a pet peeve of mind.

Enjoy,

His loss (Mr Lucas's). Me, I would have just released in all versions.

That's Lucas, not Speilberg, right? *S* I DO have Saving Private Ryan on DVD
(even if "widescreen" is 1.85:1, not 2.35:1...).

I was unimpressed enough with Star Wars ep. 1 that I probably won't buy it
unless ep. 2 is good enough to justify "collecting the set". And only THEN on
DVD. Actually... maybe not even then. *L* What I'd really like is Star Wars on
DVD... NOT the remade, historically revised edition that came out two years
ago (and is now "canon") but the edition that came out in the early 90s,
cleaned up but still essentially the original edition.
