Join the club, most of my spam is US originated.

Try http://www.mailwasher.net/ for a way to get rid of some of
it without giving your details out. Doesn't stop it all but does allow you to
'bounce' mail and delete it before it hits your inbox.

Alfie

www.spamcop.net Is pretty good for sorting out who really sent you an an
email... even if they've tried to spoof where it came from. You can then
report it (from within spamcop) to the person(s) who should be concerned
(postmasters, domain owners and admins, etc...).

Since I've begun using spamcop, I've been getting less email, most likely
becuase my email address(es) are on a list of "tattlers" or people NOT to send
UCE to.

Just be wary with mailwasher, I've been trying it out and it consistently
reports some members of this list as spammers!

It's not reporting the individual it's saying that their ISP has been
blacklisted for spam and still hasn't closed the security loop, usually
allowing their users to run open relays or similar.
