[Tomb]: And insure that the computer on
the net connection has no LAN or other connection to the other machine. It's
easy enough to hop from one system to another once you've breeched the first,
doubly so once you've installed a number of common (read: MS) products and
services (many of which you may not even realize you have active and sometimes
vulnerable even when fully disabled... you think....).
You really know how to cheer this old Luddite up <grin> Maybe I won't let the
family have internet service and stick to using work and the
library... LOL! I can't do that - the older girl's school requires
internet work in High School. And my wife wants to down load all these sewing
programs for her high tech sewing machine.
Besides I can order all these neat figures online...

Hey, it is usually not a problem for us dial-up types :) BTW do
whatever you can to support her sewing habit. I have found more cool stuff in
fabric stores than just about anyplace else. Also with her Bernina 180 she has
done some cool stuff for me and the kids.

I fully agree. I make visibly sure that the 'net computer's lan cable is
pulled before surfing... That outta keep that blasted weasil off of my desk
machine.
The only things on my 'net computer is windows, a few internet games, and my
browser. Stuff easily reinstalled if messed with.

I try to keep her addiction happy so she wants to keep my addiction happy.
She has dreams about quilting too but the budget only stretches so
far....

Mine is a quilter too. Between 3 kids, book, quilting and games we always seem
to be running out of space. We use each other for feedback and composition
("What due you think of these Cuirassiers?", "Could you help me lay this
out?"). She uses "my" tables as often as I do!
