Subject: [OT] Proxy Card Blanks

Greetings,

Back when I played Magic the Gathering <duck, dodge>, I saw that some people
had sheets for proxy cards (substitute cards). These were on light card stock
on an 8.5x11 sheet with perforations for the cards.

I have thought that these would be very nice to print FT SSDs on.

But I cannot find a source for the card sheets. If anyone knows where I can
obtain these card sheets, please let me know (off-list at the address
below).

Thanks,

Brian,

I do not know if these are what you are looking for, but there are Business
card and Index card blanks sold at Staples or other such stores. They are
intended to be run through computer laser printers. They come in small packs.
Avery is one of the major brands. Here is the Avery web site if you would like
to look and see if they are what you want.

I am looking for a very similar product. Like the buisness cards or
indexcards, several come on a page and are perferated. However, they are
playing card/CCG card size and have rounded corners.

Thank you for the information, however.

While I was on the Avery site, I did see something interesting: Sheets of
printable magneic sheets. This would be great to print counters on for counter
based war games or campaigns. Print out the units, cut to size, and then put
the map on the side of the refrigerator or filing cabinet.

It was over 2 years ago when I played Magic the Gathering. One of the other
players (I don't remember the name) had found these to print up "proxy cards"
for cards that he did not want to spend major dollars on. I have not seen him
in over a year and a half. I know that it was not an Avery product, but I do
not know who the manufacturer was. I have done an internet search on Northern
Light and visited the Wizards of the Coast and DCI web sites, but did not come
up with a source for it.

Have a look at this site

http://www.prempapers.bigstep.com/faq.html

the perforated cards don't have rounded corners but I suspect your friend used
them to comply with MtG regulations.

Brian, I think he was asking about the magnetic sheets. ;->=

Are these the ones you saw?

Thanks for the link, but no, the sizes are wrong. I don't have a card with me
to get the correct size, but they were bigger than a buisness card (2x3.5")
and smaller than a 3x5" card. My guess is that they were about 2.5x4". I was
wrong about the rounded corners, however.

I have a Magic card with me and it's real close to 2.5x3.5". The corners are
very slightly rounded.

The card? The Brain from the Pinky and the Brain set. Tap: Take over the
world. ;-)
