Sort of a quadrupedal Illuminati, eh? ;-)
All I know is, in My eyes and my wife's, the dog's right. I've become the kind
of completely enthralled pet owner I once mocked.
Dogs have owners: Cats have staff.
[quoted original message omitted]
Dogs are Companions, Cats are Associates.
[quoted original message omitted]
Slight mistranslation from the original canine: That should have read "Dogs
are companions, cats are dogfood."
(now on my 7th dog, a retriever...)

Dogs come when they are called; cats will consider the suggestion...
Later,
The egyptians really thought that cats should be cared after as if they were
gods...
All I need for cat care is a rock, a burlap bag and directions to the nearest
pond. (j/k)
I actually like cats, I just can't stand them, being violently allergic and
all. For some reason, I think they sense this, as all cats really like
me...
even the "Oh he's mean to strangers." cats...
They're evil I tell you... evil...

Dogs come when they are called; cats may deign to show that they've heard you.
As one of my SEAL friends put it "I like cats--they taste like chicken."
Not that this is on topic at all.

My Korean in-laws inform me that dog tastes like lamb.

Certainly not. Though IIRC, there is an ALF (Alien Life Form) that is
quite fond of Cats ;-)

You know, I have the same problem (allergies and cats coming up to me). I've
had some people say it's because those of us who are allergic tend to give the
cat space, and this seems to trickle into the little kitty mind as meaning you
are someone they can relate to. Either that, or they see us as a challenge. Or
they really are just evil.
If you haven't seen it, I recommend the comic strip Get Fuzzy. It's about a
guy who lives with a siamese (Bucky) and a sharpei/lab mix (Satchel).
The writer gets the personalities of both dogs and cats down almost perfect...
You can find it online at http://www.getfuzzy.com (click on the drop
down listing the comics and choose Get Fuzzy).
