I think these were the ones they were handing out at demoes. I'll see if I can
find the ones that the company dropped on a friend to encourage instore
activities.
Gawd, I hope it filters through my C-R-S syndrome by the time I get home
this afternoon!

Another mini that looks like a Death Glider, and just right for DSII, is the
Centauri "Sentri" Heavy Fighter from B5 Wars.

True, but IF I can find the right blue paper bag in the swirling, incoherent
maw that is my basement, he can have them for the cost of 1st class USPS.
Have you ever seen the Disney movie, 'The Black Hole'? ;->=

Long ago, why?

Sort of like that when I'm at the top of the stairs trying to get a clear idea
of where to start searching...
However, the SO has been beating on me to cut down a bit. Really, it's getting
better!

Speaking of which:
I have a few of these, as well as some old Evil Empire Epic scale
Eldar stuff that I was going to use as extrapolated Goa'uld/Jaffa
force. My main goal was not an effective fighting force, but as close as
possible a recreation of the "feel" of the Jaffa in the show.
Based on the special effects of their weapons in the show, I suspect that the
weapons on the Death Gliders are best simulated using DFFG's. The Staff
Weapons also, but since they're infantry level, I suspect that the best way to
simulate that would be to make Jaffa foot elements assault elements, plus
support (APSW, GMS, and LAD).
The Eldar vehicles I have to use for extrapolated G/J units have main
weapon barrels that fit the same look, so I'd stick with DFFG's, and they're
definitely Grav.

Your basement is mostly empty except for a wide range of industrial
hazards and two robots, one of which is a thinly-disguised allegory for
Mephistopheles?

One must avoid relying on the habit of focusing too narrowly in place of the
thought of the whole picture, of course.

For which he is truly grateful.:)
OTOH, if the Centauri fighters are different/similar enough, it might
add some variety to my forces. Right now, they have a rather sparce variation
in vehicles - which in some ways I like. I'm using GZG grav vehicles -
the ones with the names like "Pozruzh" or whatever. So I have an APC, a
Medium Tank, a Heavy Tank, and a modified MICV (APC with a Medium Tank turret
with the main gun removed). For air power I have some of the fighters I've
mentioned, and I'm hoping to collect a total of 9 of the boxy transports to
use for VTOLs for assault troops.
I'm using the K'hiff powered armor infantry from the Denizen line (I don't
recall who made them in 6mm, but I have it bookmarked somewhere), and have
made some heavy weapons by using the cannons from the OGRE miniatures heavy
infantry line.
Overall, it's a neat little army designed around fast assaults with little
thought to variety - like no dedicated AA (there are twin cannons on the
top of the Pozruh Hvy Grav Tank that I use for AA guns), no artillery, and
nothing like CASEVAC or AARVs. I don't even let them "pop smoke" as I
consider it to be a non-K'hiff action. :)
In any case, I appreciate the help with getting more of the plastic ships!
Back to SD Resin 3-1's:
http://www.metal-express.net/
The demo NA's were the Decados Galliots and Hawkwood somethings, so John may
need Sentri's for gliders, though the SD's Renegade's Eagles and Blood Hawks
are also 'cresents', though designed to be flown in the 'other' direction. Or,
I may feel guilty enough for pulling John's leg, inadvertently, to break into
the boxed set I have.
> Nope, not the 3:1 large resin ships. I did find the link, go to
Ah, Dean, I've seen one or two, though if you're talking rights, I figure
these prolly have NONE, like the crude wind-up Star Wars and Galactica
ships I found at a dollar store.
Maybe why they're out of stock? ;->=

I'll take some pics tonight of the two ships I'm interested in, and will
put them on my webpages and will send email.
I think I have one of the Sentri fighters, and I don't like it much. It's a
little small, and not as... elegant in some ways as the plastic ship. Again,
I'll post pics and then you can see why I like the plastic
one. :)
Thanks again!
