Hiya Folks

Sorry for the spam content.

I know most of the nations of the GZGverse have an online proponent or two.
I'm not sure who laid claim to Japan though Noam has suggested Nathan
Pettigrew (sp?). If so, could Nathan (or whoever else may have written any
GZGpedia style info on Japan) drop me a line? Thanks. I want to pick his or
her brain a bit for some development I'm doing on a new AE sovereignty.

My thanks in advance.

Tom is working on two new sovereignities, both of them really fascinating. And
both of them definitely the sort of place you wouldn't find anywhere else. I'm
planning on reworking my Alarishi website (moving it to a
location with no pop-ups) before the end of October (stop laughing, I
really mean it this time)(yes, that's October *this* year, thanks) and
consequently if you have in mind ideas for a sovereignity, please send them
now!

As a quick recap for some of the new listers, the Alarishi Empire (AE) holds
three star systems including the rocks, moons, comets, habitants and ships
therein (no habitable planets). The government--such as it is--is a
libertarian monarchy; the economy is a rapidly growing laissez faire free
market. Some of our sovereignities include:
*New Los Angeles (dolphins can vote here--and they're probably the most
sensible citizens)
*Han Bank (tax-free private banking)
*Jack Old Ron (one man, one asteroid, one holography editing studio...and
one Beam-3 battery)
*Planet of the Geeks (producer of GeekSoft products) *SARCo Search and Rescue
(referred to by the Oceanic Union as "Vultures R
Us")
*Forward Power (antimatter engineering) *The Democratic People's Socialist
Republic of Marxgrad (about 200 comrades) *Reynolds Corporation (shipyards and
heavy engineering on New
Pascagoula--Yankees need not apply)

and so forth.

I wouldn't mind being involved in this, Tom. I have become very fond of the
Jap anese. I have two platoons worth of Japanese in 25mm SG2. Now that Jon has
Japa nese PA, I'm going to have to order those (don't have to use my Living
Steel fi gures after all!).

If you could copy me in on the discussions, I'd appreciate it.

How about...

Casa Familia (?--supposed to be "the Family Home")

Run by that ever-popular bunch of downtrodden capitalists, the Cosa
Nostra.

"Gambling, prostitution, recreational drugs--hey, if the other guys
won't let you have it, come on and pay us a visit! We guarantee a unique
experience for every visitor!" from a promotional brochure.

This large asteroid/small moon run by several moderate size Mafia
families (the large sized families "own" regular planetary governments, so
don't need to do this) caters to the hedonistic (pay) or desperate (work)
folks. Anything is fair game, but don't break the rules or you'll get broken.
And make sure you can pay or earn your way, cause you can't leave until all
debts are satisfied.

The Military: da boyz. The Medical Corps: da dames The Police: what, ya
kiddin' me? Ain't no coppers here. If ya break our rules, we getta couple o'
de boyz to break your legs. Simple, huh?
The Judiciary/Legislature: Council of Dons
The Chief Executive: The Godfather

Just a thought.

That is one of my many projects that is on hold right now. I am taking a

pre-19th century Japanese history course at university right now, so my
future history will have to wait until I have learned enough about the past.

Email me if you want to chat about colaborating on it.

My apologies to anyone who had already claimed Japan.
