[OT] LOGH was Re: this is a first... Firefly

It's been discussed on the LOGH group; it's been put out by a company that
had, and lost, a license. Seems that they're a bit fast and loose with
copyright laws.

Reviews have it that the subs are much better than the two movies (prequels to
the series) I got, which are about the level of 'all your base...'.

The folks who made the originals are planning to release re-mastered,
and
in some parts, re-animated, versions for region 1, but they were talking
many factors of ten greater prices than the 'illegal' ones.

I've been tortured by the fact that buying the bootlegs may cripple the
likelihood of release of 'legal' ones, but that I may have to pass on the
official ones even if they make it out. Tortured because of how much I enjoy
the series.

Sorry, but this has been hashed out so much on the fan list that I figured I'd
share a synopsis to go with the mentions on this list. I'd just as soon pass
on a discussion of the morality one way or the other on this list, so if
