Hello all:
Just in case anyone would like to know, DP9 has announced that they just sold
the TV rights for Heavy Gear, to Sony. An animated series is in the works for
a Fall of 2000 release. Let us pray that it is it
doesn't stink like the short-lived Battletech series.

If the show is just a "WOW cool giant robots" series with no serious plot, then it's going to be tripe. If they focus on the story and the charecters and keep the technology where it belongs (as "props") then it will be something worth watching. I hear what your saying but keep in mind that Sony also is the umbrella organization responsible for SST chronicles and they ahve made NONE of the mistakes you mention with that series.
