Go ahead, Ryan, depress us. How much is gas there?

How else do you think I can afford to occasionally drive a 4 tonne
vehicle that get's 5-8 miles per gallon?
In northwest Georgia the prices here are from $1.11 to $1.35 per gallon.
All depends how close to I-75 you are.

Taxes, of course, also add into it, but it helps if you live in an oil
producing state. Louisiana's gas has been running $1.17 to $1.35 a gallon here
in the ArkLaMiss area. You can get $0.05 a gallon off by buying at Sam's Club.
The prices have dropped as low as, I think it was $1.07. They've been hovering
in the $1.19 to $1.29 region for most of the time.
Cheapest in deep dark South Florida is about $1.38, and can reach as high as
$1.55 on South Beach.

That's only a penny per gallon cheaper than I buy it.
Although there's a HUGE variation in gas prices in my driving area. Going from
Ft. Hood ($1.21) to Austin
($1.32+) shouldn't make that much of a difference, but
it does. Some of it's taxes, as the price jumps about a nickel per gallon as
soon as I'm out the East Gate, but the rest ain't.
(Meanwhile, you Brits are pissed because you're doing currency calculations in
your head and realizing we pay less per gallon than you do per liter...)
Over here in.se its roughly a buck per liter. It's depressing when you like
Muscle Cars like I do.

And not just the brits, either. Still they pay the same per litre of LPG, in
pounds, as what I pay in euro's. Nice 50% extra;)
Cheers,

But, don't forget that our gallons are 25% bigger than yours, John -
makes a change for something to be bigger over here than in the US!

Yeah, Texas is good too because of the Gulf states' oil production as well as

Try more up north. $1.50-1.60/gallon in Philly right now I think.

Here it's between 85c and 95c a liter.
But that's Aussie Dollars, call it 45-50c US.
