Subject: [ot fh url] european national anthem

i've checked the web and, yes, the ode to joy (aka the prelude to the last
movement of beethoven's ninth) is our anthem. i know that usually, the fact
that the web backs you up is not a good sine that you're right, but in this
case i'm willing to live with it. apparently, used since 1972 by the council
of europe and now the eu, since they are probably the same thing in disguise.

i bet most of you didn't even realise there was a.int domain, did you? i
certainly didn't.
