This may be an odd question, but:
Does anyone out there know where I could buy really small d6s (or other dice)
in quantity? These are intended to be more or less decorative, so tiny, tiny
dice are what I'm looking for. Small enough that they'd be
sold on a $/volume or $/mass basis.

Its not easy to get around, and you may end up calling them, but they have
them in bulk quantities! You can probably order them through the Travelling
Mage, too.

Well, I don't know if you can get 'em outside of UK, but Irregular Miniatures
do some nice little dice (about 5mm cubed) for UKP3.50 for 50.

Try ian@iansgames.com he may have them on hand, or can point you to a source.

At GenCon, the smallest dice that I saw were at Koplow's booth. I know you can
get Koplow dice in the US and Canada. A game store should be able to order
them.
This may be a bit of an odd way of solving this problem but...
I found some REALLY small d6's at a craft supply store in the section for
beads. These were maybe 2 or 3mm on a side, and had a small hole through from
one corner to another for stringing on a wristlet, necklace or etc. They were
otherwise symmetrical, however, and rolled well. They were also quite
readable.
Just a thought.
