This isn't me! I am paranoid I know, but has anybody been receiving
e-mail from 'triphibious' or is this just a @#&% advertisement sent to
me and is a (new to me) standard practice in the e-industry?

And yes I plan to get 'unlisted' ASAP.

Gracias,

I'm sure it is just spam from a bot that picked up what it thought was your
name from your tag line.

It's become quite common for such spam to have hacked headings. Look, if you
can find it, for a 'ReplyTo:' address. Usually this is some free mail service,
like Hotmail. If you contact their abuse group, you can usually
get the id closed down. Both the SPAM/UCE and the forged headers are
generally spelled out as no-no's in the terms of service.

Doesn't stop the spam, but makes it more expensive and
labor-intensive(same
thing), as the closed mail id means a short time the 'shop' is open and
receiving replies. And, it's a fun hobby. I do it all the time.
Occasionally, I can get BOTH a mail id and a web site quashed. ;->=

I admit to being impressed you've been on lists this long and JUST had the
experience!
