So you could say "any of the above". Some thoughts: - Present-day body armour is usually carried in a textile vest or consists of layers of kevlar etc. A hit could result in a frayed spot of cloth - The zone of the hit could be burnt, if it was a laser or explosive grenade. - Metal or plastic armour is likely to deform into a small crater with raised edges - Hard ceramic materials are likely to shatter, either into a few shards or a spider-web like pattern. - The material could shatter like older windscreen safety glass: lots of small pieces held together by an inner layer of foil or wiremesh - Metal armour plates hit at an angle could be bent like car fenders in an accident - The "bullet" may still be stuck in the armour If this is for a modelling project, take you pick of what looks cool.
