Subject: [OT]Anime Zeppelin
A question to all the Anime fans out there: At the Rheindahlen Con "Bring and Buy" I picked up a nice Bandai kit of an SF Zeppelin and am curious about the underlying story. The cover illustration shows it as a sky pirate ship Top in wavy black and blue, underside red, with pirate skulls as markings. The gondola is a classic pirate galleon complete with sails. All the text is in Japanese, except that the title is "Queen (something)" and the letters SSX appear. The queen herself is illustrated: Long red hair, red pirate costume, black cape. Does it ring any bells? The kit looks quite nice (haven't assembled it yet). It is nominally 1/1600 scale, about 25 cm long. It comes complete with a battery-powered internal lighting system which should look quite spectacular. The only drawback for gaming is the stand. Instead of the usual stand under the middle of the hull, it is a rather prominent side arm. Nice for display where you see it from one side but not for gaming where it's supposed to look good from any side. Should not be difficult to change. Bandai Kit number 45596. Greetings
