Subject: [OT] 15mm Paper vehicles almost ready

Hi all

Just put up some more pics of the 15mm paper vehicles I'm working on. This one
is the light tank, I've reduced the size of the gun and showing it in plain
metal colours.

Comments as ever welcome. Hopefully have the vehicles ready for download
before the end of August.

Cheers

I think with the gun people are going to have to swap the barrel for a straw
or something if they are still not happy with it. I got it down to 5mm which
was becoming very fiddly to stick together.

As for a hatch or some sort of vision slit the draft I did, didn't look right.
What sort of optics system whould you like to see?

Thanks for the comments Karl.

I built a paper model of a Merkava that I downloaded from a Japanese web site.
To make the gun barrel, a rod was made by tightly rolling up the paper. The
designer had a rectangle of the right size but I found it easier to just roll
up an arbitrary piece of paper and then cut it down to size.

Here is the link to the original site:

Hard to believe that all those tanks are made of paper!

Thanks for comments Karl

I've opted for this for optics and a access hatch.

Interesting idea for doing the gun. I guess I can leave that bit for people to
make up their own minds. Wouldn't take much to replace the gun on my models.

Great site that Jap one. If only he would move towards sci-fi :)

Germy,

That looks great! I like the extra armor pieces.

I was going for reactive armour panels, but I guess they do look like extra
armour plates:)
