In response to the infospeak release by the Corporation, the United States
Colonial Marine Corps will be issuing a release of sorts. This is an
accounting of the events from Helmet Cam Data and from the single survivor.

Note, unlike Weyland-Yutani Corporation InfoSec releases, the
Colonial Marine Corps releases are public domain and therefore downloadable to
any Terran Citizen in 2183.

However, I think it is fairly true to the scenario. I took license with the
individual actions interpretations, but the flow matches how our game went.

This was a normal SG2 game? Please write any more battles you like. I enjoyed
this one quite a bit.

In many ways it was a regular game, however, the guys (Tom and Jon) really got
into the spirit of the game and as a result everyone really enjoyed
themselves. I plan to try to post a GM's perspective of the game [with
followups for the next Con?] as soon as I can get it typed up.
If anyone is after details of how the game was set-up, or rules for the
Colonial marines or xenomorphs drop me a line and I can send you a bunch of
stuff.

Any info would be much appreciated. I am attempting to get some SG2 scenarios
going for a friend of mine but I am having a hard time with the game balance.
Seems to be one way or the other.
Thanks

For what it is worth, Stuart, I'm planning on being at the formative
SomethingCon in Toronto (whatever we end up calling it, eh Allan? How about
Thrustacon? or Maplecon? or Cold Thrust?), and I've come up with an idea (and
almost a full scenario setup) based off of what happened at GZG East Coast as
detailed in my write up.
The scenario idea is that the Marines (The remaining half of the platoon plus
Sgt. Andron) are determined to bring Mr.Calivari and
his hatchet men to justice by raiding Oribital Facility X-ray Gold
(where the BioWarfare research is being further pursued). It would be similar
in scope to the last one, an indoor battle with just over a
section of Marines on the one side (11-13 in total divided into
probably 3 squads) vs. some station security plus a few tricks Mr.
Calivari and W-Y have up their sleeve.
Rationale: W-Y don't want trouble with the Marines, so they wouldn't
put up a *full scale* struggle (besides the Conestoga class Onendaga could
probably take out the orbital base if they tried) so they'll volunteer to give
up Mr.Calivari, but the catch is he's holed himself up in a Lab with a bunch
of staff loyal to him blocking the way there. So the Marines have to go get
him. From the Company's point of view, if he kills all of the Marines, good
for him. They'll probably help him escape. If they kill him, the Company uses
him as a
scapegoat for any illegal researches. It's win-win for W-Y unless he
is captured. And there is a twist or two to make this a very hard feat.
What do you think Stuart? Do you mind if I run such a scenario at
WhatEverWeCallItCon in Toronto when it is finalized? Anyone interested in
being involved as a player? (This is a hook to get more people to come...
*grin*).
Tom.

I think it looks like a good scenario and of course I don't mind, feel free,
you were as instrumental in how the game went as I was.
I would be interested to see how it went though. Makes me wonder if it would
be possible to play a series of campaign style games and finish with
a climactic scene game at the next EC GCG Con/big GZG con.
