Subject: Old GZG Resin Stuff

Long ago, back in the days of the dinosaurs, the store where I work sent an
order to a company in England, a company called Ground Zero Games.... Among
the many things we recieved in that order were a bunch of "Alien"
Resin Vehicles--a variety of organically shaped craft that looked like
they had armored plates growing on their skin. The sizes ranged from one about
three inches long, some sort of scout ship, to one that is aproximately the
size and shape of a skinny football. We still have a couple of these guys
around the shop, and as we were re-arraning the shop for the umpteenth
time this past weekend, I ran across them again. Were these ever intended for
any particular race? I know that the orignal supliment for Stargrunt I had
rules for organic weapons--were these described in there? I have no
particular reason for asking, I'm just wondering. Besides, they look kind
of cool....

And, in a related note, the reason we were rearranging the store was to make
room for some gaming tables. Once I have the time to put some scenarios
together, I'm going to be running some games of Dirtside, SGII, and Full
Thrust. In the meantime, if there is anyone in the Philadelphia area
interested in running some games, check out our Website at:

We had originally called the Kra'Vak vehicles, but this was before CMD
designed the 6mm KV stuff with a totally different "angular" look to match the
ships. The "bio" resins have been out of production a long time, but
the moulds still exist - we could always re-release them if there was

Yes please!!!:) I would be VERY interested... and, as a connected question,
are there going to be Stargrunt scale Sa'Vasku figures?

I second the motion; re-release 'em! :)

As no one has ever gotten rich off my tastes, I'd certainly be the last to
market/production suggestions. However, I'm most intrigued. Can I get
some
further descriptions? Perhaps a compare/contrast to other things: sci-fi
movie spin-off toys(tortured, wasn't that?), Kryomek Alien vehicles,
etc.?

I would LOVE some piccies(sp?) on the web somewhere, but will be patient with
the above.

Well, they are an assortment of strange shapes -a couple are peanut (or
dumbbell)-shaped, others are teardrop or egg-shaped (pointy end
forward). They are all high tech Grav types, though a couple could also pass
for
GEVs. They are less Giger-esque than the Kryomek vehicles, though they
are
equally odd; they could be bio-style, or could be "hard tech" from a
race that simply doesn't like the same geometry that we do. All surfaces are
covered in irregularly-shaped raised panels, kind of soft-edged crazy
paving! Some have smooth, rounded "cockpit" blisters. They vary from small
scout craft about 100mm long, up to some big combat vehicles at nearly 200mm
and a "lander" which is 250mm long and nearly 100mm wide.

The whole range was: two different small scout/attack vehicles, one
large
grav-tank with turret, a peanut-shaped "tank destroyer" with fixed gun,
a smaller "assault gun", two different APCs (one grav, one obviously hover), a
"flying saucer" shaped drone (about 100mm diameter) and the big lander which
is a flattened sausage shape with a pointed bow end. One that we never moulded
up before dropping the range was a large "gunship" style air vehicle.

The reason we dropped them, surprisingly, was that they never really sold all
that well over here...

sufficient interest; maybe they would do as Sa'Vasku ground
vehicles....?
There are at least 8 vehicles in the range, including a couple that we never
even released first time round. >>

Count me interested.
