I saw the Chessex booth, but I think they ended up raising prices by
end-of-show. I recall thinking I'd missed out.

I just picked up some more boxes of marines and a queen on a net
auction/sale; $15 apiece, which was hard after $7 and less in cut-out
bins.
;->= So, they are still out there, though fewer and fewer.

With the right paint job, I'd think these would also fit well with the
Future Warriors/Kryomek(the figs that overlap, stylistically).
Interestingly enough, the marines I run for my board game are mainly FW's with
some conversions. Vasquez ended up a great deal more *ahem* endowed than I
would have thought appropriate but I didn't do the work.

I once saw a LEG dropship, assembled, but unpainted. If you thought the
Sharlin's were hard to put together, this was an obvious nightmare. However,
it actually had room for the APC in its belly.

I have an APC kit; never tried to put together; not a lot of pieces, but
getting to stay square while waiting for the epoxy to set looked awkward.

While I have some Living Steel figs just because I'm an
obsessive/compulsive collector, and inherited a bunch of the game stuff,
the only other LEG lead that interested me was a) the Dracula set with
bodies on pikes, for making my yet-to-be-completed Undead army look
hideous, and b) some of the Deadites from the Army of Darkness figs for the
same. Some of the Deadite blisters were of skeletal warriors pushing a
large wooden shield-on-wheels(wish I could remember the right term). PA
freaks should take a look at the Living Steel if they run across it, though.

Never knew there were Phoenix Command figs. I'll have to look in some of the
rulesets to see if there are flyers for them.

Ok, I admit it: if I ever came across a LEG dropship...

And, yes, as far as LEG goes, 'he's dead, Jim'.

The_Beast, stream-of-conscious'ing all the way

Two GenCons ago, Chessex (the distributor) was selling Leading Edge figures at
a pretty good discount (around 50%), trying to liquidate their stock. I picked

Phoenix Command figures. Since then, I haven't seen Leading Edge figures
around at all.

There weren't any Phoenix Command figures. I think Rick meant Living Steel
figures. By the way, if you ever want to get rid of your Living Steel figures,
let me know. I'd be happy to take them off your hands.

I picked up a bucketload of old LEG stuff dirt cheap at EuroGenCon last
year - blisters (Living Steel, Aliens, Terminator etc.) for 50p each and
boxed sets (including an Alien queen) for about 4 pounds a box, from a
comics shop tradestand that was selling stuff off - so it IS still out
there.....

Howdy!

Actuallt, the Micro-Machines Aliens APC is *perfect* for SGII.
You don't even have to pain it, although I recommend that you glue down
the top and whip a coat of paint on her. The M-M Dropship is cool, but
more in-scale for a 2-man assault VTOL or something. At $10 a model,
they can't be beat (my friend has a platoon of FSE ferried around in the
Aleiens APCs).

Laterish!

Just for others,

Its the Action fleet APC that's approx 25mm scale, Galoob aslo make a micro
machines APC but that's just a tad too small :-)

The dropship is also excellent, I use mine as an Arapahoe gunship in support
of my Halycon Cheyanne.

Though the MicroMachines version of the APC and Dropship are good for DSII...
(though PAINT the dropship!)
