Indeed, there are very few wargames that seriously have nukes. They are just
too devastating to make for a fun tactical game. When was the last time you
used a nuke in a game?

We use them all the time in GEV and OGRE, and Nuclear War is not the same with
all of the nukes removed. I think the Fleet series of games had the most
interesting mechanic for nuclear weapons. Two things happened if the use of
nuclear weapons was theoretically allowed in a scenario. The first was that

I think More thrust missiles are nuclear but i am not sure, but they are

just what you need if you want a flock of harpoon's but be careful what you
wish for, just wait till you have 60 MT missiles auto hitting and doing 2D6
damage each coming at you.

Well, _Supremacy_ has them as a major component. SPI's old _Third World
War_
game used them.

I didn't say they were fun in a wargame! I was just pointing out that there
were other ways of killing a task force if you REALLY needed them.

I like to sometimes use the threat of nuclear weapons as part of a scenario,
but I don't usually use nukes. Funny enough, players don't like to lump all
their ships into one huge impenetrable blob when they think the other side may
nuke a target that's too hard to ignore.

G'day Karl,

A couple of DS games ago. The Daleks were losing bad so they thought they'd
even the score (when you're a mutant created by neutron radiation a little old
nuke ain't going to pahse you);)

I usually buy one nuke a game when I'm using the Daleks, but to be honest I've
only ever dropped it once.

Cheers
