If the NSL is old Imperial Austro-Hungary reborn then it is going to
look rather like B5's Centauri Republic, Londo is (almost) a Swabian! For NSL
high ranking command figures what we need are 25mm Napoleonic or

earlier figures, maybe seven years war (don't know, not my period). I am

know you can get Wellington, I wonder does anyone do Blucher or Gneisenau? I
am reminded of an Honour Harrington novel, the one where she commands
a Q-Ship flontilla. The potential ally nation, the Andamans were founded

by a mercenary who thought he was a reincarnated Frederich der Grosse (or some
other great German) and dressed accordingly. I wonder if JT had

this in mind?

I doubt it, considering that the the NSL has been around since before Weber
copyrighted his first Harrington novel...

No, I didn't (actually only read the HH novel in question - Honor among
Enemies? - quite recently), but it DOES fit rather nicely, doesn't it?
You just can't help hearing those Strauss waltzes in the background as the NSL
ships enter the table....;)

I would argue that the germans wouldbe utterly practical in their uniforms,
more so than most other powers. Regardless of their political structure.

A bit late I know but then I've some annoying thing called "JOB" keeping me
from my terminal. Do you really want to be that bright? Austrian (as opposed
to Hungarian) senior and staff officers wore white coats or jackets and bright
(very bright) red pants. This really doen't vary much until the
Austro-Prussian war (1860's?) and then I don't know what happens but the
are probably wearing a basic uniform similar (but much fancier) the the
other ranks which was a blue/gray somewhere between WWI French blue and
WWI German "Feldgrau". Wargames Foundry do some excellent Napoleonic period
Austrians in 25mm including a range of officers although most are mounted on a
horse. Their range is pretty big so you should find a Blucher figure (but you
should be looking for a Charles or a Mack). Hope this helps.

Yes, I can go with that too! (I have a very poor, old fan-pirate copy of
just the big battle scene...)
