I was just after some opinions on this type of variant for the Waldburg class
Destroyer (FTFB)

"Official Background on"

Okay so it says that the NSL have adopted a mainly Beam Armed policy in the
Fleet Book with a few exceptions like the Waldburg class i.e.
Waldburg/M.

How about if the Waldburg is used as a test bed for various non beam systems
like below

Waldburg/T (Torpedo Destroyer)
Mass 30 Hull Type Average (Integrity 9)
Armament: 1 x Class 1 Battery
1 x Pulse Torpedo Tube ( 3 arc)
Defences: 1 x PDF
Grade 3 Armour Sensors: Standard Sensors
                       1 Fire-control system
Drive System: Main Drive Rating 4
                            FTL Capable
TMF: 30 NPV: 100

Any suggestions?

Gee, I don't know what the point of having a ship that can _never_
fire its whole armament. Or did they change the rule about Beam Weapons and
Pulse Torpedos requiring separate FireCons, even when targetting the same
ship?

I'd scrap the PDAF and the Class 1 Battery, pump up the Thrust rating, and run
the Waldburgs in squadron with an ADAF equipped ship with lots
of class-1s and/or PDAFs.
