There is an article on this in Scientific American. Expect short term use of
this to be preservation of organs for transplant. Currently there is a huge
problem
because many organs last only 3-4 hours out of the body. This often
means a perfect match in NY won't make it to a recipient in San Francisco.

The only problem is that they probably won't study it long enough to see if it
has any wierd long term side effects that don't manifest until like years
after the proceedure.... like people suddenly developing an addiction to
swimming at the beach instead of chlorinated freshwater pools... or elevated
sodium levels even when salt is completely removed from ones diet.... or not
being able to succesfully procreate unless one moves uptown to where they were
born...

Remember, even light is shaped by the darkness that surrounds it, and the true
crafters are seldom ever seen. Welcome to the shadows kid.

Rare, but not nonexistent.

There's an awful lot to biology we just don't know very much about.
