G'day,

> FYI, I used the feminine because some

While freely admitting my sanity is in question and as much as I'd love to
wallow in the glory.... its actually easier than it looks to do little tricks
like the Kangaroo on your ship. For instance your kangaroo is little more than
a smooth curve (back and head) and then a tick (legs). Same with all the
little details I paint, you find a simple way of producing something that's
close enough to fool the eye in to making the connection. I may be insane, but
I'm also fairly lazy;)

Cheers

Indeed. It's more a matter of suggestinga shape than actually painting it. All
my NAC troopers have a union jack on their shoulder. People get
very annoyed at that. Thing is, it's not actually painted _correctly_,
it's a bit simplified and looks LIKE a union jack enough not to warrant
further investigation;)

Similar tricks apply to painting banners for 15mm french napoleonics etc.

a) Even the simple techniques described defeat me.

b) I'm hardly the only one who's impressed with the crazy-quilt painting
on Beth's ships.
