Please excuse my ignorance:

Is GZG still planning on releasing further supplements to the SG2 rules, or
perhaps a new edition?

When last I heard (not that I'm an expert), Jon was planning on releasing the
following (not necessarily in this order):

Bugs Don't Surf -- Stargrunt expansion to cover non-humans
Dirtside 3 Fleet Book 3
FMA Skirmish--close range action using individuals as units
Full Thrust 3

I haven't heard about a new edition of SG itself. On the other hand, Jon
didn't mention that he was even contemplating an Islamic Fed SDN until he had
it in production. He could in theory be about to release SG3 tomorrow.

I sent a message similar to this last week but got no responses so I apologize
for the repeat. Or if no one received it I dont apologize. And if no one
receives this one I uh... well no apology for that either I suppose.

Are the skirmish rules still in playtest? I have a set from about a year and a
half ago. Have they been worked on since then?

Take care,

That Chuk Guy

Last I heard they are still in playtest. There has only been one "public
release" of the Skirmish rules. However, some of the official playtesters (I
am not one) are also on this list. They can probably give you an update as to
how the playtests are progressing, but not provide any additional specifics.

Testing is ongoing. Things are progressing.

I don't recall a more recent Official version (which may be my sloppy memory),
but IIRC there are at least two FMAS games on for GZGECC next

Is this going to be a compilation of all the rules so far? I'd like to see the
rules from FT, MT, and FB1 between 2 book covers. Throw out the old and in
with the new? I like the idea of new tech and new weapons being in the FB with
the owning races.

Jon, I'd buy this book in a SECOND!!!!!! (hinthinthint)

In a nutshell, yes. It WON'T be a redesign, it'll be a compilation of
everything in its latest versions all in one place. FB1 and FB2 (and FB3
etc..... <grin>) will remain fully compatible with FT3.
