BTW... Should there be a new site for accepted community house rules? So
that people wouldn't have to sit through the "badger other nationality"
debates? I think I'd do better there; not rain on anyone's nationality
parade... STS... Love being American ("United States' American" it would
seem), but my girl-friend is Afro-American, so I think that I should say
"go seminoles!"... in case anyone was listening...

Don't worry too much about the off-topic nationality stuff going on
right
now - we're usually slightly more normal than this, and your usual
gaming programming will resume shortly!
Welcome to the list, by the way.

Ditto from Glenn, the politically unaligned (nobody will take me,)
multi-racial, multi-ethnic, evangelical Presbyterian; i.e., an "average"
(US) American who spends too much work time wishing he was assigned something
a bit closer to home then Pacific Rim nations. Or more time with wife and
kids. Or more time painting and playing minis. Or making jewelry. Or just
reading.

There are a couple of sites with house rules, but no site where they are all
compiled. It would be interesting, but it's a lot of work, and you really need
someone to edit things. I know of 3 different sets of "overwatch" rules for
Stargrunt, including mine, for instance. Check the Full Thrus web ring,
though.
As for the nationality debate, you have to be around for a while but in fact
it's all very playful. This group isn't anti-such-and-such a
nationality. The
Ground Zero Games-East Coast Convention is going to have a US versus
Canada game. There are a lot of different nationalities on this group. We get
into some good natured ribbing, but nothing mean or anything.
I think you came in during a lull in the action. Last weekend there weren't a
lot of posts, but that was because there was a huge flurry of posts for quite
a while before. We do occasionally get into "topic slip" but the list really
isn't as bad as it seems this weekend. Take a look at the list archives, and
you'll see.

No but there will be shortly, for FT at least and to the best of my ability to
produce it. You might also try the FT FAQ.

Two, actually. According to the schedule I last heard, Tom Barclay and Los
will be running a FMA Skirmish game Saturday night. (aside to Joe and other
new listers--FMA Skirmish is in playtest right now, which is why you
haven't seen it). And some overconfident neurotic will be running a Full
Thrust battle, "First CanAm", on Sunday morning.

Actually, I have been around for several years, off and on, but now that I am
getting up to 50 emails a day on rather off topic subjects, it gets
irritating.. I understand it is all in good fun... sorry to be a "stick in the
mud".
Anyway.. I am over it.. So to be totally hypocrital, is anyone here an MS
Access guru? I am trying
to code a database/ship creator and can't figure a few things out.
Kinda need some help.

I am NOT a new listener!! UHHH!!

OT can be a problem - I have had to delete TOO many messages on religion
in the deja.recreational.miniatures.(misc or Historical) lists lately.
Jews vs. Christians vs. Atheists - the
Hindus/Buddhists/animists/agnostics/islamicists have either stayed out
or not identified their stands. I bailed out when it was clear the thread was
going NOWHERE fast.
No big deal. No hot buttons means you're dead. Everybody just has different
ones.
> Anyway.. I am over it..
Well, I just took a 8 hour 'wonder wizard' course at work on that. So, for me,
no... software looks pretty nice though. Tried teaching myself it 'on the fly'
several years ago. Tougher then it looks in some respects.

Has any 'consensus' (yeah, right) been reached as far as set-up, how
sides will be chosen (given the fact that there will almost certainly be lots
more from Here as opposed to There), etc.
I mean, come-on, we only have 4 months to hash this out after all.
