May I make a plea? The Brigade Minis are so nice, I'd really like to keep them
as New Israelis. Trouble is, they're not available to anyone
who isn't a member of a particular club in the UK - which
makes life a bit difficult for people from the US, Canada, Australia, New
Zealand, Holland, Germany ( you get my drift....)
Now should they be available outside the Uk - albeit at an
increased price - then I'd ask that Jon reconsider the identification
of the new New Israelis as being Indonesian Commonwealth instead. Or even PAC.

"PAC"? Do you mean Pan African Union? I'd rather see LLAR, New Indonesian,
Free CalTex, or Romaniv Hegemony. I picture the PAU ships as being purchased
from other
sources -- eg the late Kinshasa BC was a NAC design, and we know that
the PAU also bought Rostovs as a main component of their battle line.

history past in San Francisco and San Diego, plus an obvious heavy space port
for military use (Vandenberg AFB).

Sorry, Alan, but I've been intending to do "official" NI ships for ages
now, I've got the concept/design style for them worked out and that's
what
they'll be - I've actually just started work on the first of them; the
Brigade minis are actually SemFed (Semitic Federation of Space-Faring
Worlds, a pun on SFSFW - Society of Fantasy and Science-Fiction
Wargamers, for whose members they are an exclusive line), they've never been
supposed
to be the "canon" GZG-verse New Israelis. The eventual intention is to
cover most, if not all of the canon powers (at least all the ones that could
be envisaged as having their own shipbuilding capacity) with our own ranges,
and the NI are an important part of that. I also want the NI to have the same
homogenous design style as the other fleets, whereas the Brigade ships are a
wide mix of varying styles. Of course, none of this prevents you from using
your fleet as NI if you want to, or as anything else for that matter!

As a manufacturer of 6mm figs, and of some of my favourite games, such as Fury
of Dracula, Armageddon etc I like them fine. As a corporate entity... no
comment.

Alan's talking about the Society of Fantasy and Science Fiction
Wargamers (SFSFW) which in fact is an INTERNATIONAL society - it most
certainly isn't confined to the UK. If you visit the website at
http://www.sfsfw.org/
there's full details of subscription rates, contacts etc.
We can supply the models to members outside the UK without problem.

Jon's already pointed out that our models are not in fact New Israelis but a
little known group called the Semitic Federation of Space Faring Worlds. So
you can still use 'em.
