Subject: New mailing list question

O.k., after setting up the new lists, I had a realization. What names would
people like for the new lists?

ftgzg and ftgzg-digest ?
ftgzg-l and ftgzg-l-digest ?

Something else?

I know the current list uses ftgzg-l, I tend to perfer just ftgzg as
simpler. Opinions?

Keep it simple. FTGZG is a well established list name for anyone whos looking
for it. Hey how about we all draw up into factions and fight it out for which
list
name? We could maybe use a huge FT-PBEM game to decide it!

Um. I think I'll get back into my box now...

I figured keeping it the same would be less confusing, especially as it's in
many web sites, which would just need an address change.

The '-l' is common to indicate a mailing list, so you do drop that at
some peril.

If change is no problem, I'd just as soon see it as something akin 'GZGLIST'.
While my interest is almost exclusively FT, I believe one list for Ground Zero
is a good idea, and that it should be named to indicate such.

kind....

Yes, as I only have thus far played DSII and SGII, perhaps something

Personally, I prefer ftgzg-l, but I'm something of a traditionalist.
Maybe Jon Tuffley should choose; after all, we're talking about his
games and his company. (8-)

Is it? Some people might assume that it's the company e-mail
address.

The "-l" tag, as previously stated, is pretty universal.

Possibly <gzg-players-l@etc.> or <gzg-fan-l@etc.>?

Not to mention prone to obselescence. FT-FMA-FMC-SG-DS-GZG-L
anyone...?

(Of course, this would implicitly make "G-Cav" off-topic.)

There have been a number of comments before that as the list covers DS and SG
as well as FT, using ftgzg is perhaps a bit of a misnomer. Maybe just
gzg, or gzg-l, or gzgames, or something like that? Please note this is
only a suggestion, not an "Official Request"!!!!:)

I'm in favour of:
        GZG-L
for the List and:
        GZG-D
for the Digest.

That way, Ground Zero Games still has the use of:
        GZG
for itself and the above are seen to be derivative.

Before we get any more messages saying essentially the same thing, I think
the consensus is that GZG-L and GZG-D are the victorious candidates. So
the large PBEM game won't be necessary after all (whew!).

Unless anyone has anything to say against these two?
