Subject: New KV designs, was Re: A remark...

I *think* that I've posted the stats if not here (or to the FB4 site) then at least to the playtest list, but I'm not sure... Anyway. The background blurbs are still vague for most of the new Kra'Vak ships (a few snippets are included below). Generally speaking these ships start making an appearence from 2190 onwards, though human military intelligence analysts are deeply divided regarding whether these ships are new designs created in response to experience with fighting humans or represent the arrival at the front of Kra'Vak clans from regions of the Dominion further away from Hu'Man space than those encountered during the first years of the war. The stats and names I use for them are: ******* FT423 NEW Kra'Vak Heavy Striker > KV name unknown<<<< (Yes, I know that this is very similar to "Keg" (FT403 Ka'Tak striker). One reason for this is that there aren't too many single-syllable English words beginning with "K", the other is that the two ships are very similar stats-wise :-/ ) Stats: TMF 24 NPV 96 MD6A FTL Hull Integrity 7 (Average) Armour 0 1x FCS 1x Class-1 K-gun (All) 1x Scattergun (All) 4x MKP (F) ********* FT 425 To'Ki (Seeker Spear) Destroyer First encountered: June 2190. (Probably encountered by human ships earlier, but if so those human ships didn't survive to tell the tale - more on this below.) UNDIA reporting name "Kick" Stats: TMF 31 NPV 124 MD6A FTL Average hull (9) Armour - 1x FCS 1x K1-6 (All) 1x K3-1 (F) 2x Scattergun Excerpt from UNDIA military report circulated to UNSC and allied units, December 2191: "...The first human ship to report an encounter with Kick-class vessels was the OUPS Blackwood, which narrowly escaped after surviving damage which would have wrecked most human light cruisers. It is believed that similar earlier encounters with patrolling Kicks explain many of the human escorts that were lost without trace during attempted raids on Kra'Vak supply lines in the months after the Kra'Vak rebuff at Centauris, since the tactics that have made human escorts so effective against the smaller Keg, Kedge and Kite strikeboat classes often fail disastrously against Kicks...." ********** FT 426 NEW Kra'Vak Light Attack Cruiser (MKP variant) KV name "Ki'Rek" (Spear Stealthy Ship) UNDIA reporting name "Kilroy" Stats: TMF 60 NPV 237 MD6A FTL Hull Integrity 18 (Average) Armour 0 2x FCS 2x Class-1 K-guns (All) 1x Class-3 K-gun (F) 3x Scatterguns (All) 4x MKP (F) ************* FT 426A NEW Kra'Vak Light Attack Cruiser (K2 variant) KV name "De'Rek" (>>>>[untranslated] Stealthy Ship<<<<) UNDIA reporting name "Koorbash" Stats: TMF 60 NPV 235 MD4A FTL Hull Integrity 22 (Strong) Armour - 2x FCS 1x Class-1 K-gun (All) 2x Class-2 K-guns (FP/F, F/FS) 1x Class-3 K-gun (F) 3x Scatterguns (All) ********** FT 428 NEW Kra'Vak Heavy Attack Cruiser (MKP variant) KV name "Ka'Ton" (Attack Dark Horde) UNDIA reporting name "Kayak" Stats: TMF 82 NPV 322 MD4A FTL Hull Integrity 30 (Strong) Armour 0 2x FCS 3x Class-1 K-guns (All) 2x Class-3 K-guns (F) 4x Scatterguns (All) 6x MKP (F) ********** FT 428A NEW Kra'Vak Heavy Attack Cruiser (K2 variant) KV name "Lu'Ton" (Sneak Dark Horde) UNDIA reporting name "Kinky" Stats: TMF 82 NPV 322 MD4A FTL Hull Integrity 30 (Strong) Armour 0 2x FCS 2x Class-1 K-guns (All) 2x Class-2 K-guns (FP/F, F/FS) 2x Class-3 K-guns (F) 4x Scatterguns (All) ********** FT 431 NEW Kra'Vak Heavy Battleship (MKP variant) KV name Kia'Kyu (Spear of the War Lord) UNDIA reporting name "Karate" Stats: TMF 130 NPV 512 MD4A FTL Hull Integrity 46 (Strong) Armour 0 3x FCS 4x Class-1 K-guns (All) 2x Class-5 K-guns (F) 6x Scatterguns (All) 6x MKP (F) ********** FT 431A NEW Kra'Vak Heavy Battleship (K2 variant) > KV name unknown<<<< Stats: TMF 130 NPV 512 MD4A FTL Hull Integrity 46 (Strong) Armour 0 3x FCS 3x Class-1 K-guns (All) 2x Class-2 K-guns (FP/F, F/FS) 2x Class-5 K-guns (F) 6x Scatterguns (All) Note: The first reported encounter with a "Kanaka" class heavy battleship occurred during the Mars raid in July 2192. While the UNDIA reporting name for this class is politically sensitive in some circles, it was chosen in honour of the Hawai'ian-descended crew of the UNS Kalihiwai who sacrificed themselves in order to draw the fire of the Kanaka-class ship leading the attack away from civilian orbital facilities. ************ Later,
