Before I place my order for some Slammers, I was also looking for the new KV
ships as they seem to match the ship sizes I generally play (small). I've
hunted on the GZG site but can't find any photo's. I'm sure I saw one
mentioned on the list (Oerjan?) but where can I find them all? (I think
they are 423, 425 and 431).
And of more relevance, does anyone have the "official" ;-) SSDs or stats
for the new ships (I'm sure OO mentioned the one he designed matched one of
the standard designs he uses, probably for cinematic)?
Thanks.

I'm not sure if Paul Owen (the GZG web store admin) has had time to put the
three newest ones (FT422, FT423 and FT431) into the web store yet, and I
suspect that Jon hasn't had time to take any photos either yet - no
doubt he will do so ASAP, but he's been kinda busy attending shows recently
:-/
The FT425 To'Ki destroyer is listed in the web store, and you'll find its
official stats complete with photo in the "Downloads" section of the web
store.

I have stats for the FT423 and FT431; they will be published as downloads
within the near future. (The FT422 is a fighter, so doesn't need an
SSD.)

I've designed all of the new KV ships, both stats and miniatures... they're
similar to the FB2 designs, so yes they're for Cinematic. It's kinda hard to
truly optimize Kra'Vak for Vector, as has been discussed in various
recent threads :-/
Later,
I already bought the FT425 and find it wery interesting, and learn now that
there are more new KV ships. What kind of ships are FT423 and FT431.
And - byr the way - are there any more ned KV designs on the way.

Probably easiest if you wait for pictures and stats to be posted, either
here or in the on-line catalogue... they're more "conventional"
hull-spar-and-wing-guns than the To'Ki, but that doesn't say very much.

More KV ships have been sculpted, but I have no idea when Jon will have time
to make production moulds for them. (Of course, if something goes
badly wrong with the mould-making they might not appear at all).

Just to help until I get some photos done, the 431 is a "heavy battleship"
(or Light battledreadnought if you prefer - it kind of falls between the
410 and 411). It is a 410 "main hull" and side guns, with a completely new
(and enlarged) "bridge" section carrying additional side weapon mounts. There
will soon be a "431A" version as well, with different weapon systems on the
bridge mounts.
The 423 is a heavy corvette (Striker in K'V terms) or light frigate -
between the 403 and 404 in size, usual K'V configuration but with six short
"gun" barrels on the side pods - I thinlk Oerjan is classing these as
MKPs....

There will be a new "heavy cruiser/battlecruiser" using the 408 hull
with the new bridge and weapons that we used on the 431, and maybe a couple of
new variants of the 423 size ships.
There is also a new light/escort cruiser type (between 406 and 407)
wirth a central main gun like the 407A. These should all be out in the next
couple of weeks at the most.

Don't worry, they'll all come out - all the parts are master-moulded, we
just need to put them into production moulds before we can start to sell them.
We'll announce them through the usual channels as soon as they are ready!

Very, very cool. (most of my GZG ships (Sorry, Jon, so far via Ebay but
I intend to buy more direct in the future) are NAC with a few ESU - all
except for a blister of Vandenbergs are "light" units.) Started with some
second hand Star Blazer ships and built beads designs. Use those SB ships
mostly for the "Gray bordering on Black" hat People's Holy Republic fighting
the "Very light Gray" Native People's Circle and the "Slightly less light
Gray" League of Latino People forces. Bead ships are
semi-retired currently (but there are plans...) Must mention Brigade
star ships - have a very few of those but they are also slated to grow
the LLP fleet because I thing they have good designs that reflect the
common origin of the NAC sponsored NPC/LLP shipyards.
Between Brigade for Spaceships for FT and VSF and GZG for DS 2 and FT
(Stargrunt stuff is Very, very small (hardly even two sides worth for a
_small_ scenario if you don't count the "Mice in Space" figures) and
not slated to grow much in foreseeable future) I pretty much have become a two
source person for SF games.
But then I guess my sig block says it all...
Hx, SF, and Fx: 6 mm figures, Starships and 1:6K "Wet Navy" warships are my
main interest.
Gracias,
