Has anyone bought or seen at a WG show the new Irregular Miniatures range of
star ships? In Miniature Wargames this month there is a big list with about 4
races and all the main ship classes. I have the old ships from IM and they are
a bit sucky. Anyone got a review of the new stuff? Or is it blind faith time
(again).

I remember someone posting a message stating that he had seen (bought) some of
the new Ireegular ships and that at least some resembled ST style ships (warp
nacelles etc) and were a lot better than the old ones. I saw their ad in the
latest Miniature wargames and order a few. I hope to get them about this time
next week, the guys at Irregular are pretty fast on mail order.
I'll let you guys know when I get them
BTW I ordered a Nimitz class Heavy carrier, the most expensive ship in the new
range at £2.10

I was at colours at the weekend and saw them. They are very star trek and come
in lots of parts, saucer's etc. They are unoffical but look very good and with
a bit of models you could build more offical ships. They are also very cheap.
60p to 210p. They also have other races that look like other star treks races
(its not my strong subject).
As an aside, CMD are no longer producing ships or tanks. They have been taken
over by GZG. According to Jon the moldes are being redone and some of the
ships designs reworked. Some of the models are not available at the moment and
others will be replaced with new designs. The bloke you did the CMD will
continue to design the ships and alot of new designs as well as reworking of
old designs should be happening soonish.
GZG will continue to produce the future wars vehicles as well.

Jon Tuffley mentioned this at GenCon -- specifically, that the large NAC
ships are going to be re-designed to make them easier to assemble.
Collectors, get the old ones while you can!

The folks at Geo-Hex mentioned several updated versions of existing
ships will be made available as well(e.g. CA mod B) to represent improvements
in technology and design.

I have heard of IM minis, but never I could never find any. I contacted a US
distributer for IM and they said IM has never produced spacecraft minis and
did not intend to do so in the near future...seems like a slight communication
gap.:(

I've already got one of the updates. I just bought a NSL missile
destroyer. It's a destroyer with four 'missile tubes' mounted in the
midsection. I'm thinking about using them ass super destroyers as they look a
little heavier than the normal destroyers.
