Cool. Has anyone done any work on a conversion on the fabled Gurps 'Lensman'
book, or even seen it?

:D

Nice work on the inertialess drive Jeff.

Well, I've got a copy, but like most of my bookshelf it has never been more
than skimmed through (oh, for some more TIME.... <wry grin>).

Yep. Got it when it came out.

It was a long time ago and I don't remember how they handled inertialess
movement (except for the potentially unfortunate effect of turning it off near
a planet). I think they handwaved the weapons just as Doc Smith did.

I always thought the formations were interesting. Don't know how well they'd
actually work though.

It's been forever since I read it. What did they decide about beam weapons? Or
did they handwave it like Smith did and assume that people would come up
*something*.

If you guys are really into the Lensmen books, I have a first edition numbered
and autographed "to William Gurley" of Second Stage Lensman, I would
be willing to part with for a reasonable amount of money - oh yes, the
dust jacket is attached but only in fair condition.
