You forgot to add the retail prices that DP9 is asking. For the figure size
and detail, the Games Workshop Imperial Cruiser box of two cruisers for $14.95
is a better deal.

The Jovian carrier is no more than 2.5" in length.

This is true but I prefer a miniutre that has the techno block fill to it.
I've already built a large fleet for BFG and have no realwant to play it in
Full Thrust.

The prices are much better in Canadian, though. $13.95 Canadian should work
out to about US$9.50 _not_ US$12. Are these prices right from the web
site? Are they correct? Because they're more than 25% over priced. With this
difference it would be worthwhile for Canadian list-ers to act as
go-betweens.

DP9 has always set the Canadian price lower than the US price; initially, I
believe their products sold for the same "number" in both countries
(e.g.,
most sourcebooks are listed as "$19.95 US/Can") though this has changed
slightly of late. But yes, having someone in Canada buy you DP9 product is
less expensive than buying it in the states... hmm, something to think about
come ECC time....

Yeah the prices are squewd for Canadian buyers but then it's a Canadian
company and you don't often see things cheaper for us Canuks. I've bought a
few of the miniatures and where I'm more then happy with the design and detail
it is a bit pricey for plastic models. I do recomend the ships though if you
want a nice looking fleet. The ships fit well into the FT scale and have
wonderful detail to them.

Yes, as Jaime says, we often get screwed for being Canucks. And on the wrong
coast.

As for the DP9 stuff, yes it is expensive but it is good resin casting.

I am using both their lines as Japanese stuff, with the idea that the samurai
clans have big ships with conventional weapons will the ninja clans use ships
with lots of fighters and needle beams.

Well, you do get decals with the DP9 minis, that has to count for something
;)

Just wanted to let everyone know there was pics available as most of us are
always looking for new minis to collect. The ones I have seen up close are
very nice quality.

I agree with you and thanks for posting the URL. I've seen the Jovian strike
carrier at our local store and noted the scale of the figure and the
associated price tag.

Don't misunderstand me. I think the figure modeling and ship configuration is
very attractive and fits into a hard science fiction game universe. I am
disappointed that the price is quite high for a figure that is at the

same scale as a GZG UNSC heavy cruiser. GeoHex has two UNSC CAs in a $7.50
blister, if I recall.

I priced them at the nearest game store carrying the line, and the ship packs
were going for $11.95. The trick is, CAN the Canuck listers act as
go-betweens? Will not the cost of shipping eat the difference?

No problem. There are several manufacturers that seem to overcharge. A big one
IMHO is the Star Blazers minis.
