I got some Sa'Vasku models yesterday, along with some fighters from the
non-FT line and a peak at the '97 catalog.
The Sa'Vasku have a general appearance of a wedge or circular blob of organic
shape and spikes protruding from the sides and rear. Rotated, they might be
the silhouette of a punky spiked hairdo. Sizes go up to about or just short of
Battlecruiser. I like the scout and escort cruiser most, IIRC.
A few changes to the NAC line, too, including a more symmetrical battleship.
Interesting new fighters. 4 to a pack for some triangular fighters inspired by
stealth bombers and I believe 6 to a pack for some small crescent fighters.
Gun bunnies are 25mm women with silicon implants and rabbit ear comm head
sets.
Ptaah look like true 25 mm intelligent termagants, for those of a GW bent.
Four arms, bulbous elongated heads, real tech guns, tails, spiky spines.
Detailed looking 1/300 scale versions of the 25 mm scale vehicles.
Just a few observations.
What company made these Sa'Vasku figures? And are the prices reasonable?

Actually, I was wondering why the FT models seem more expensive than the DSII
models. $6.50 buys you a pack of 5 tanks or ONE tiny destroyer, about the same
size.
Is it the amount of metal in the base? Or (evil thought) the fact that you
need generally less models to play FT?

You're looking at the GEO-HEX catalogue, right? Yes, I think it's the
bases.

Can't be. Mikko, you ought to order from GZG rather than from GEO-HEX -
IIRC a pair of destroyers costs about £1.50 (without bases, though, but
they cost 10 pence each last time I checked). That's quite a difference.
I don't know about Finland's customs fees, but I have to pay quite a bit
extra when I order from the USA rather than from inside the EC:(

It's the metal in the base. The aerospace fighters for DSII are packed the
same (1) as the Cruisers for FT as they weigh the same, VTOL's being lighter
and about the size of frigates are two to a pack for the same price as an FT
frigate pack.

Is there any chance of your selling the ships without bases or
with the light-weight plastic bases? I _like_ the heavier bases for
the big ships, but they're massive over-kill on a scout. Besides,
fleets don't feel right without lots of little ships, and with the prices like
they are, I can't afford lots of little ships.

After discussing this with them, it appears they do not take credit cards. End
of story.
Every time I order something from abroad, there are two major sources of
hassle and extra costs: banks and customs.
When I pay with my VISA, banks don't bother me. When I order from within EU,
customs don't bother me.
But if I have to choose one or the other, I'll take the hassle with customs.
Because they DO take credit cards.
