I know this has probably been asked, but I must have missed it. How do MT Missiles work under the FB and FB2 vector movement systems?

(Worm escapes before can is shut) In my Cygnus Fleet Exercises PBeM, I used the following rules for MT missiles (under vector rules): - Movement: I have extended MT Missiles movement to 36tu. They now move as Fighters but are limited to a maximum of +/- 60° (upto a 2 pt turn at the beginning of the turn) of forward. - PDS vs MT Missile: I have chosen to compromise between MT & FB. PDS hit on a 5+. Each MT Missile must be targeted seperatly by PDS. - Minimum of 1 FCS needed to launch any number of MT Missiles. It seemed to work out OK.

I'm plagiarizing someone here--AEBrain?--anyway here's a Suggestion: Move them as Fighters for two turns (or Fast Fighters for one turn). Give them 1 point of "Endurance" which can be used for terminal maneuvers at the end of the first turn (ie, pick your target) *or* for another 24 mu range the second turn (but you have to pick the closest target, same as SMR).

How about 24 MU per turn for 2 turns with 1 Endurance for terminal guidance, but may still pick ANY target within 6". ...or, (same as above) but target is picket upon launch.

We were playing vector, so high speed does not produce as wide a variance. I used the 2 point turn maximum to reflect the original rules as much as possible (even if I did move it to the beginning of the turn). Aron Clark seemed to do fairly well with them. You may look at the entire game at: http://members.nbci.com/rlyehable/ft/pbem/cygnus/ Real action did not start until turn 9 or 10 (my fault, I started the opponents too far apart). *Warning* pictures are large.
