Subject: Modern figures in scale with GZG 25MM?

Hello!

If anyone can point me to a manufacturer of modern figures of a compatible
size with GZG Stargrunt 25mm's, I'd be obliged.

Specifically looking for gunmen in civvies to augment my PAU troops but any
type of moderns are of interest.

Thanks in advance.

Regards, Bob

Bob,

I recently asked that very question on this list and get a few good responses.
The links that I have checked out are listed below.

Battle Honors makes some really nice 15mm figs:

I would consider doing my moderns project in 15mm, but I would like to use the
urban warfare terrain I'm building for SG2 for moderns as well, so I'm at an
impasse.

Unfortunately, almost all of the 25mm modern infantry is geared toward the
very recent desert conflicts (Somalia, Afghanistan, and Iraq), and I am
looking for figures more suitable for the cold war era, circa 1980's. Please
let me know if you find anything that that I'm not aware of.

Thank You,

Jim,

Thanks for the links.

Look at Liberation Miniatures. They are 20mm but cover just about anything
post WWII. I've seen pix of some and they look good. Have not seen them next
to any other figures so can't comment on just how close to 20mm they really
are.

Could be they are large enough to work with your terrain.

Of course, you could find the path of light and do SG in 15mm:)

But he said he'd already started on 25mm terrain, and what's he going to
do, put it on eBay and get pennies-on-the-dollar for his effort?

Where I'd find it...

Hmm...

Oh, right, by all means, switching to 15mm is the ONLY answer... ;->=

But he could use what he has built with 15's, they just become the more
dominant buildings:)

Simple enough--use 15mm for StarGrunt also.

Irregular makes 15mm cold war Russians, I'd imagine they have 25mm also
