Ah, I've been hunting for 25mm moderns for a long time. Foundry used to do 25mm '73 Israeli and I was lucky to collect 30 of those, but the line is now discontinued. There are some very fine 20mm (SHQ make some cracking Gulf War Brits) which I'm advised is closest to 1/76th. Nic Robson assures me that 25mm is closest to 1/60th. Owen G > -----Original Message-----

1/76 is closer to 20mm. Combat Miniatures has (had) a line of Falklands and Mid-East as well as WW-II. Lots of WW-II stuff out there. Personally I think 15mm works better for SG (have not tried FMA yet),

According to TMP, only Reviresco - http://members.xoom.com/minipage/lib/land/modmnlib.html#modmin25 > BTW is 1/76th the same as Also at TMP, see the scales comparison page. 25mm is roughly 1/64 scale, but that's only a rough conversion as experts don't always agree on how to convert between the two scale systems. http://members.xoom.com/minipage/ref/scales.html

With FMA's ground scale of 1 inch=2 meters, 15mm figures are nearly
EXACTLY in scale - for once, a game where ground scale & figure scale
match up!
Maybe this is a sign that Jon's finally going to expand that wonderful (but
tiny) 15mm line of his...
I use 15mm for SG2, exclusively. The games aren't actually any larger than
a 25mm game - we still use 1inch=10meters - but it looks bigger becuase
the figs are smaller. Less cluttered, esp. with vehicles.

The games aren't actually any larger I'm still just starting to collect my SGII figures, but I'm already preparing for 15mm. I have a squad of 25mm to bring to BYOS games, but I definitely like the look of SGII in 15mm. The LOS rules also seem to work better with buildings and vehicles in 15mm.

Actually 25mm is closest to 1/67th (Matchbox collector's vehicles" though I usually get along quite well with 1/72nd.

In my experience, 25mm works well enough with 1/72 vehicles and buildings, unless the figures need to enter the vehicles or buildings. In such cases, I have found that the figures are almost universally too large. -Michael > Popeyesays@aol.com wrote: > Actually 25mm is closest to 1/67th (Matchbox collector's vehicles" though I > usually get along quite well with 1/72nd.
