Subject: Missiles in Real thrust
Examining the rules ideas for FTIII in a Newtonian Universe, Missiles had better have a multi-turn capability or they will be useless. Matching velocities with an opponent is difficult enough. Having missiles that can maneuver or at least counter-act the firing ships own velocity is a minimum requirement to be worth the cost and Mass of the weapon. We'll have to examine other weapons such as Sand, Dumbfire missiles (thrusting mines) etc. Given the cost and Mass requirements of a Missile versus a Scatter Pack and then comparing their effective firepower, I don't think missiles are too much at all.
